who we are
cooper campbell
Cooper attended Auburn University and received a Business degree from Bellhaven College in 1983. After college, he worked briefly for the state government in Mississippi before earning his insurance license in 1985, and he has been serving the greater Jackson area as a retirement planner since then.
“What’s most important about my work is building long-term relationships with people based on trust and integrity,” said Cooper. “Each and every dollar my clients have is important to them, and I want to help them maximize it in their best interest. Unlike some larger, traditional brokerages, the client with $15,000 to invest is just as important to me as someone with a much greater amount of savings.”
Cooper makes himself available to his clients at all times, business hours or not. He provides clients expertise in the area of Medicare and annual enrollments, as well as Social Security planning and maximization. He also enjoys working with younger people to help them restructure and eliminate their debt, reduce taxes, save money, and identify ways for their savings to perform more efficiently for them.
“I’ve never been a high-pressure person in my approach to helping people,” said Cooper. “I lay out options that are available to the client, some which may involve me and some which may not. I am open about what I can and can’t provide for people, and that may mean we are not the best fit for each other sometimes. But I’ll be open with them about this in the beginning rather than waste their time and disappoint them in the end.”
Away from the office, Cooper has enjoyed volunteering at football camps to help young athletes. He also works part–time as a scout for the Canadian Football League. In his free time, Cooper loves exercising, spending time at home with his two dogs, and visiting with his daughter, who has worked in the NFL andnow is employed by the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets. He also enjoys traveling, especially to his favorite Caribbean island, Aruba.
